Vegan Diet Effects – Are Vegan Diets Healthy?

A vegan diet is a type of vegetarian diet that excludes all animal products and by-products, including eggs, dairy, honey, and gelatin. A vegan diet consists solely of plant-based foods such as fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, and legumes. Vegans may also choose to avoid the use of animal products such as leather, wool, and silk. The primary focus of a vegan diet is to consume foods that do not involve any form of animal exploitation.

As someone who has constantly sought out ways to become healthy, I never really thought the vegan diet to be harmful. My thoughts on the vegan diet was that the people who decided to eat that way were very health concious and that it was generally a healthy way to nourish your body. Man, was I wrong…..and I think we have all been duped to some extent when it comes to nutrition. Also, Ive been learning about how the vegan diet is actually very harmful to the enviornment and wildlife. Lets dive in…

Vegan Diet Health Risks

There are some potential health risks associated with a plant-based diet, such as nutrient deficiencies, particularly in vitamin B12, iron, calcium, and omega-3 fatty acids; increased risk of food-borne illness; and increased risk of certain chronic diseases, such as type 2 diabetes. Additionally, a plant-based diet may be low in some essential nutrients, such as protein, so it is important to ensure adequate intake of these through a variety of foods. Additionally, vegans can be at risk for inadequate intake of important micronutrients, such as zinc, iodine, and vitamin D. It is important to consult a nutritionist or healthcare provider to ensure that you are getting adequate nutrition on a plant-based diet.

Also, a majority of the foods ona vegan diet are made from soy and grains. We’ve been taught that these are healthy for us and can be nutritional for us. That couldnt be further from the truth. Soy and grains can be detrimental to humans if consumed in excess or if the person has an allergy or sensitivity. Soy is a common allergen, and some people may experience digestive issues or other symptoms from consuming too much soy. Additionally, grains can be difficult to digest for some people and can cause digestive discomfort or other digestive issues. Furthermore, some grains such as wheat, rye, and barley contain gluten, which can cause an adverse reaction in people with celiac disease or a gluten sensitivity. Finally, consuming too many grains can lead to excessive calorie intake and weight gain.

The consumption of gluten-containing foods in the United States has been linked to an increased risk of gluten intolerance. Gluten is a type of protein found in wheat, barley, and rye, and it is found in many foods in the United States, including breads, pastas, cereals, and processed foods. The consumption of these gluten-containing foods can lead to an over-exposure to gluten and can cause the body to become intolerant to it. Gluten intolerance can lead to digestive issues, fatigue, headaches, and other health problems.

Mono-Cropping and why its bad…

Mono-crop agriculture is a type of farming where a single crop is planted in a field or area of land, with no other crops or vegetation present. This type of farming has several detrimental effects on the environment. Firstly, mono-cropping can lead to soil erosion due to the lack of vegetation and roots to hold the soil in place. Secondly, the lack of biodiversity can reduce the number of beneficial insects and other organisms that perform important roles in the environment, such as pollinating plants or providing natural pest control. Thirdly, mono-cropping can lead to a loss of soil fertility over time, as the soil is not given a chance to recover between planting seasons. Finally, mono-cropping can lead to an increase in the use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides, which can all negatively impact the environment, wildlife, and human health.

If Vegan isnt healthy, What is?

I thought you would never ask. In my opinion, eating an animal-based diet is the healthiest way for us to eat. If you look back at all of our ancestors who were indigineous, not one of them was strictly vegan. The reasoning behind that is you couldnt sustain a village of people by gathering plants. We wouldnt have survived as a species if we didnt hunt and eat meat. Meat is essential to humans proper nutrition, despite what the mainstream media and the government tell you.

I was taught in school and through programming, that meat and saturated fat arent healthy and should be avoided at all costs. This couldnt be further from the truth. Eating an animal based diet is a much healthier way to feed ourselves.

Going vegan could cost you your health…

First of all I want to say that I dont hate vegans. I believe most vegans decide to become vegan for two main reasons: their health, and morality. Its unfortunate because we have all been lied to about the plant based propoganda. I just want to inform people to allow them to make a better decision. Dont take my word for this, please conduct your own research to be able to see for yourself. Lets get healthy together, one steak at a time!
